WHAT TO EXPECT DURING VIRTUAL MOVEMENT TRAINING SESSIONS

To start with movement training, each individual will begin with a 1 hour introductory session (via Zoom video conferencing). During this session, we will

  • Review pertinent medical/injury history and current work/household demands

  • Complete a functional movement screen (how well can you squat, lunge, reach, etc.)

  • Determine what specific corrective exercises need to be implemented

  • Discuss individual exercise preference (at-home workouts, walking, running, biking, tennis, yoga, etc.) and determine ways to optimize success in that arena

After this introductory session is completed, you can choose how many follow up sessions to complete based on which pricing plan you purchase. Each follow up session (via Zoom video conferencing) will last approximately 30-45 minutes.  The purpose of these follow up sessions is to

  • Enhance functional movement patterns

  • Review/Progress corrective exercises to ensure you're working in the most effective way to achieve your functional fitness goals

To ensure a smooth Zoom video session, please consider the following

  • Set up in an area where you have good lighting and enough space to squat/lunge and get on the floor to perform corrective exercises

  • You might also want to consider having a yoga mat or thick towel to lay on when completing some of the corrective exercises

  • Wear exercise attire, preferably shorts and a tank top, to ensure appropriate visualization during the functional movement screen

  • If you are completing the Zoom session on your cell phone, make sure you have the Zoom app downloaded ahead of time. Also make sure to have somewhere to prop up your phone appropriately to ensure your trainer can visualize your entire body moving

  • If you're using a desk top computer, make sure you have video and speaker options enabled
